Hi! I decided that I had to write a little bit about the bbq grill mats that I discovered and how they changed my life. I have suffered the loss of many an asparagus or onion through the grates of the grill. I call them jumpers, but whatever you call it, it’s frustrating.
These grill mats – these are the ones that I bought -are capable of withstanding 500 degrees and they clean up easily! It has made grilling vegetables, fish and things like shrimp a breeze!
I most recently made shishito peppers on the matts. The peppers require a pretty hot pan to brown them up. I tossed the peppers with olive oil and veggie salt and pepper. I sautéed them on the mat for eight to ten minutes until they are nicely browned. I finished them with more veggie salt (if needed) and a squeeze of lemon. Delicious!
I bought my grill mat through Amazon. There are a lot of brands, so shop around and buy yourself a couple of grill mats. You will wonder how you grilled without them!!!
